camping checklist

It’s almost here! Camping weekend is right around the corner and you’ve got to pack the bags and car to make sure you don’t get out there and forget the important stuff. But do you wing it and just grab what you need? Negative. You need to make sure you have what you need and not get ahead of yourself. The last thing you need is to finally arrive and forget the tent. It can get overwhelming to make sure you’ve got everything you need on a camping checklist is imperative.

I use a digital list called Trello to organize the checklist so I can physically check it off once it’s packed in the car. If you’re old school writing it down would work too if you’ve got the room in your pockets. Here’s a glance at my checklist before I went for two nights this summer.

Of course, there are things you need that you don’t necessarily have at the house. You might be planning a trip to the store before you take off. Keep in mind that Walmart started doing pickup and it’s not just for groceries. This saved my life when completing my camping checklist. I ordered the ENTIRE camping checklist we needed on the app and then scheduled a time to grab it on our way out. That way you have all the groceries and supplies you need, without the hassle of leaving the overly stuffed car in the parking lot. Let alone unloading, navigating and reloading the kiddos. Consider your own essentials and feel free to use my list to create a personalize camping checklist that is perfect for you!
